A standard chimney sweep is $345. That's our Power Sweep: a brush head that lifts stuck-on first and second-degree creosote, a second pass for the fine particles, then your firebox cleaned from the top down.
What the $345 covers. The full flue, both brush passes, your firebox, and an inspection you can act on. That last part is what catches a cracked tile or a failing crown while it's still a small fix — and it's usually what separates a real sweep from a cheap one.
What moves that number. How many flues your chimney has, how your roof is accessed, and how long it's been since the last service. A chimney swept every year is a straightforward visit; one that's gone four or five seasons has more buildup to clear.
Heavy, glazed creosote is a different job. Third-degree buildup won't brush off. It needs a chemical treatment to break it down first — $2,395, across two visits about three days apart. It's uncommon, and you'd hear about it before booking, not after we arrive.
